COMMISSION POLICY

SUBJECT: Procedures for Utility Shut-off

Utility bills are considered past due for the current billing cycle on the day following the due date. A late charge shall be added to the account after that time if not paid.

Utility bills that are considered past due for the prior and current billing cycle shall be mailed notice of impending shut off of water service at least one week prior to the scheduled shut off date. If full amount of billing is not paid by utility shut-off date, District will proceed to terminate service. For customer accounts where shutting off the water would also shut offthe customers' private fire hydrants or other potentially life-threatening situations, the District staff will discuss the situation with the Board prior to termination. Partial payment may not be made on accounts with a past due balance.

As a matter of convenience to the Customer, scheduled utility shut—offs will not be done after noon on Wednesday.
