| The District may create a single general small works roster, or may create a small works roster for different specialties or categories of anticipated work. Said small works rosters may make distinctions between contractors based upon different geographic areas served by the contractor. | While under contract with the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC), MRSC will adopt for District use those state-wide electronic databases for small public works roster developed and maintained by MRSC. The District may utilize said state-wide electronic databases for selection of contractors in conformance with this chapter. |

| At least once a year the General Manager shall cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the District a notice of the existence of the small work roster(s) and shall solicit the names of contractors for such roster(s). The small works roster(s) shall consist of all responsible contractors who have requested to be on the roster(s), and where required by law are properly licensed or registered to perform such work in this state. Contractors desiring to be placed on a roster must keep current records of any applicable licenses, certifications, registrations, bonding, insurance or other appropriate matters on file with the District, as a condition of being placed on the roster(s). Responsible contractors shall be added to an appropriate roster or rosters at any time they submit a written request and necessary records. | At least once a year, on behalf of the District, MRSC shall publish in a newspaper of general circulation within the jurisdiction a notice of the existence of the small works roster or rosters and solicit statements of qualifications from firms providing contractor services. Such advertisements will include information on how to find the address and telephone number of a representative of the District who can provide further details as to the District's projected needs for public works contractors from the small works roster. Firms or persons providing public work contracting services shall be added to appropriate MRSC roster or rosters at any time that they submit a written request and necessary records. The District may require master contracts to be signed that become effective when a specific award is made using a small works roster. |
